Part of the Elementary Particles series, Vortex Lines was conceived in 2018 and refined in 2026. Hand-painted wooden spheres sit on a lemon green ground: dark olive spheres marked with subtle dark lines, set against white spheres drawn with vivid lines in electric lemon green, orange, turquoise, and silver. Those strokes against the ground create an optical illusion of swirling rotation and expansion.
Symbolism
Drawn from the ceaseless dynamics of elementary particles — waves, spins, and vortexes — the contrasting spheres and the radiance of the electric lemon green evoke hidden cosmic forces of renewal, equilibrium, and perpetual motion.
