Twin Lines

Twin Lines: Azure Waves in Undulant Harmony

Design: Catherine De Bosscher distils the sea’s pulse in Twin Lines, a refined wall sculpture of hand-painted wooden spheres. Turquoise orbs, traced with bold orange and ultramarine lines, trace twin parallel paths across a deep purple ground. The arrangement creates a subtle optical illusion of ceaseless motion—spheres surging and receding like living waves. Precise yet poetic, this work unites minimalist form with vibrant, dynamic colour and light.

Symbolism: "Twin Lines" meditates on duality in equilibrium: two paths that journey side by side yet remain distinct, echoing harmony between opposing forces—stillness and flow, solitude and connection. Turquoise suggests tranquil depths; orange and ultramarine introduce vital sparks of energy. Like twin currents shaping one tide, the sculpture reflects balance sustained through movement, inviting reflection on unity within separation.

Experience: Before "Twin Lines", the gaze follows an hypnotic ripple of spheres and lines, the surface seeming to breathe with each shift of light. In quiet spaces it offers meditative calm; in lively ones, layered vitality. Viewers often feel drawn into its gentle momentum—a presence that unfolds slowly, revealing new emotional nuance over time. More than decoration, it becomes a living dialogue with the room.
